Toho Gakuin Exchange Program

Toho Gakuin Exchange Program

26th January marked an unforgettable chapter in our school as we embarked on an enriching exchange program with Toho Gakuin, a primary school in Japan. With anticipation bubbling in the air, our Year 5 & 6 students eagerly boarded train bound for Toho Gakuin, ready for a day filled with new experiences and cultural exchange.

Arriving at Toho Gakuin, we were greeted with warm smiles and enthusiastic waves from our Japanese counterparts. The school grounds were abuzz with excitement as students from both schools mingled, eager to forge new friendships and learn about each other’s cultures.

The day begins with the cultural exchange activities. Our students and their Japanese peers gathered on the field, where they engaged in a variety of interactive team-building activities. YUAI students also had a short presentation about Islam. The exchange of presentations sparked lively discussions and fostered a deeper understanding and appreciation of each other’s cultures. It was heartwarming to witness the genuine interest and curiosity blossom among the students as they shared their stories and experiences.

Underneath the bright blue sky, the field became a bustling hub of activity as students from both schools came together to participate in a variety of sports and games. Their laughter echoing across the open space. Some students gathered in circles to play traditional Japanese games, their shouts of delight adding to the vibrant tapestry of sounds that filled the air.

As the day drew to a close, it was clear that the exchange program had left a lasting impression on all who participated. New friendships had been formed, cultural barriers had been bridged, and memories had been made that would be cherished for years to come. The spirit of camaraderie and global citizenship that permeated the day served as a powerful reminder of the transformative power of cultural exchange in fostering empathy, understanding, and unity among nations.

As we bid farewell to our gracious hosts at Toho Gakuin, we departed with hearts full of gratitude and a renewed sense of connection to the global community. Here’s to many more exchanges that celebrate diversity, foster friendship, and inspire a more interconnected world.
